Head of engineer

At Remote and Talent, we are looking for a Head of Engineering to join Textback.ai, a remote SaaS company specialized in voice and SMS solutions for performance marketing and sales.

This is a key leadership role for someone who can combine hands-on technical depth with strong team leadership, helping drive the company into its next stage as an AI-first platform.
The person in this role will work closely with a small engineering team, lead architecture and technical decisions, improve delivery quality, and help scale the team over time.

We are especially interested in candidates with strong backend experience in Java / Spring Boot or a comparable stack such as Go, Python, or Node, as well as solid experience in distributed systems, microservices, cloud platforms, and high-availability environments.

Experience with AI-powered products, event-driven systems, and telecom, voice, or SMS infrastructure is highly valued.

Fluent English is very important for this position, since the role involves regular communication with leadership and non-technical stakeholders in an international environment.
